- Make understanding functions of Menu Items Type in Joomla
- Three primary menu item types that needs to have a better understanding in Joomla menu item types
THREE PRIMARY MENU ITEM TYPES
Articles, Single Article
- Used to create a menu item which links to an individual article.
- click single article menu item, >> to a page which shows the article.
Articles, Category List
- To create a Parent Menu Item ( e.g in Main Menu )
- Can click link articles to.
- When click on a category list menu item, >> to a page which lists all of the articles which are child items under this parent category.
Articles, Category Blog
-To create a Category Blog page.
- When click on a Category Blog menu item, >> to a page which shows all of “INTRO” sections of the articles which are child items under this parent category.
- But default, the Joomla HOME page is always a Category Blog menu item type.

The description of each Articles type
- Archived Articles = Display all achieved articles
- Single articles = Display a single articles
- List All Categories = Show a list of all the articles categories wit within a categories
- Category Blog = Displays articles introduction in a single / multi column layout
- Category List Blog = Displays a list of articles in a category
- Featured Articles = Show all features articles from one / multiple categories in a single / multi column layout
- Create Articles = Create a new articles
